Whenever we have configured starting and ending families. We should implicitly check if the starting and the ending node belong to the starting and ending family.

0001274: Constraint validation behaves strangely

When entering a constraint the messages don't always provide the propery feedback. For example, after validating, if I delete the name it says "The constraint name cannot be empty." If I then add a name, the message doesn't go away unless I validate. There seems to be some complex relationship between the immediate field validators and the overall validation state that the message not match the actual state.

0001287: Validation has old AETool reference

Try to validate a style that has a problem and the message "Check for errors in the AETool Error Log" is displayed. The log is now called "AEVol Log"

0001296: Analysis can't be written Acme Standalone

The Acme Standalone can't be used to make analysis. It doesn't have the proper support for creating plugins it seems.

Currently the tool doesn't tell the user it is publishing for few seconds.

0001293: AEVol constraint error needs to show only constraint title, not full constraint text.

Sometimes the constraint text is long which makes it impossible to see the reason why the constraint failed. We should only show the title and success/failure reason.

0001297: Initial and Final families are not copied into the project

When a new evolution style is created with initial and final families, then exported, installed and applied into an evolution project the initial and final families are not inside the families folder for the evolution project even though they are needed and should be there.

0001294: AnalysisHelper API needs to have functions documented.

Please fill in the JavaDoc for the functions.

I was trying to implement an Analysis and the APIs to get the properties were confusing, they need to have reasonable comments.

0001295: AnalysisHelper needs basic java property helper functions

There should be functions for things like:

Integer, String, Float, etc.

0001239: The AETool perspective is not being removed when the plugins are removed

If I remove the AETool from the environment (like via update site remove) the AETool perspective is not being removed.

We often wrap and re-wrap exceptions, losing data.

The following provides a scenario that argues for hideFromPalette being independent of visualization:

1. Create a base type BT, which we don't want to be instantiable (hideFromPallete = true), but for which we've defined a visualization
2. Create a child type CT extending BT, for which we don't need to define its own visualization.

In the above case, CT will have no choice but to be hidden from the palette as well.

I have a group and I would like to make it inherit from another group type after I have created it. There appears to be no way to add that.

I went into the acme file and did it manually, but then the properties in the base type don't show up in the instance.

0001235: Can not create a group that inherits from "Group"

If I create a new group and inherit from "Group" then the family is corrupted. (Won't open.) The bad section of code is:

Group type FooGroupT extends Group with {

Property egad : boolean;

}

It complains about the "Group" after the extends. I think it thinks this is a keyword.

0001285: System diagrams are open after constraints evaluated

For some reason the evaluation opens each system that is traversed. It would be nice to close these.

0001281: PropertyType table should not have source column

The property type table has a column for "source" which always show the evolution style. Since property types in sources other than our private family show up in the inherited portion, we don't need this any more.

0001277: Can't remove style that is being used

When I try to remove (from load/remove) a style that is being used by a diagram I am warned that it is being used and then I am asked if I want to continue. I press Yes, but it isn't actually removed.

0001273: Constraint Severity doesn't get set properly when modifying a constraint.

When I open a constraint for edit, it complains "Severity must be set for the dialolg" but it is visibly set to a value. What is strange is that severity is a radio button so there is no way to NOT set this. Assuming that the severity defaults to a value, I would expect to never see this. This can be worked around by changing the severity then setting it back.

0001284: 3.5 Can't set property values

With eclipse 3.5 can't set property values. When trying to set a value in an property like a integer exceptions are thrown.

0001288: Older Archevol things refer to it as "diagram"

There are many older pangea things (Like the menu items) that refer to it is as he diagram not the plan.
